Friday Jun 07, 2019
Question... we have a 19 year okd daughter that self dish herself as having anxiety from high school psychology class . She went to see a psychiatrist who prescribed escitalopram oxalate 20 mg after first visit. She has been taking 1 a day for 4 weeks and is talking to a counselor every other Saturday for 1 hour. We think she is only seeing the counselor so we will pay for psychiatric appointments and refills of her meds. Any suggestions? She said it was “easier” to take a pill everyday to deal with her anxiety rather than go for a walk or do anything else that might help. 😱 her 22 year old boyfriend is also taking anxiety and he was the one recommending she get on the same😑 what can a parent do?
